Brief Profile of the Organisation |
Established in 1999, Human Development Foundation (HDF) Pakistan is one of the leading development sector non-profit organisations, registered under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 of the Government of Pakistan. The foundation has also been granted tax-exemption under section 2(36) of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, and contributions to HDF areconsidered tax exempt. The Human Development Foundation North America (HDFNA) was organised by a group of visionary Pakistani expatriates in 1997, with its headquarters in Chicago, USA. HDFNA's sister organisation, HDF Pakistan was created to extend the movement to Pakistan and develop sustainable community development model, to transformlives through a holistic approach of integrated programmes. HDF works with its partner communities to help them achieve the Millennium Development Goals. HDF has been certified by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) and NGO Resource Centre (NGORC) under their Institution Management and Certification Programme (IMCP). |
