Brief Profile of the Organisation

LEF, a non-governmental organisation was established in 1993. LEF was an initiative of renowned trade union leaders, human rights and women rights activists with a main objective to provide informed and intellectual input to trade unions and various civil society organisations while highlighting the issues and advocating the alternatives of workers. Furthermore provision of educational and development related activities to the marginalised segments of society were also focal points. For many years, LEF has devoted considerable resources supporting industrial and informal sector workers to develop their knowledge, claim their rights and to transformunequal power relations in their favour.
