Pakistan Institute for International Affairs was established as the Indian Institute of International Affairs in Delhi in 1936. It was later moved to Karachi in 1947 and registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It is a non-official, non-party and nonprofit making body. Its objective is to facilitate the understanding of the scientific study of international policies, economics, and jurisprudence. The Chairman and members of the governing council are elected annually. The research section comprises the Director of Research and Research Officers. |
