| Brief Profile of the Organisation |
PRGMEA is the representative trade body of manufactures and exporters of the value added garment industry. PRGMEA is a bridge between Government Agencies and the Garment Exporters in resolving their issues and also assists in developing trade relationships with other countries. It hasmore than 500 members across the country. PRGMEA is recognised by the Government of Pakistan and affiliated with the FPCCI. PRGMEA, in collaboration with UNDP, is successfully running a programme to empower female garment workers through skills development and private sector partnership. PRGMEA is also a participating member on a programme with Bavarian Employers' Association (Bfz gGmbH) to stimulate economic and social development of Pakistan through an ecologically sustainable textile industry. This programme has been initiated by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
PRGMEA is also member of International Apparel Federation (IAF) and supports development of SME sector in Pakistan. |
