Brief Profile of the Organisation

BUSTI is formed in 1979 by a number of social development professionals to help and improve the living standard and solve multi-dimensional problem of community in 18 districts of Sindh for the people who are traditionally underrated, unappreciated and underprivileged. In 1986 BUSTI was registered with Society's Registration Act (XXI) 1860 with the Government of Pakistan. BUSTI believes poverty attack on all fronts so BUSTI started its developmental work from sanitation then included environmental sanitation, low cost sanitation, education, water supply, primary health care, hygiene promotion, human rights advocacy, women empowerment by creating economic opportunities, capacity building and micro credit programmes in low income areas. On these lines we have successfully completed a number of projects with theWorld Bank, UNICEF, and the Government of Pakistan.
