PILDAT organised a study tour for secretary generals/officials of prominent Political Parties to study Social Democratic Party (SPD) in Germany from May 9-16, 2004. The delegation included three officials: Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, MNA, Secretary General, JUI-F; Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, MNA/Deputy Secretary General, PPP; and Mr. Amir-ul-Azim, Secretary Information, Jamaat-e-Islami. Officials from the PML-N and PML-Q opted out of the tour at the last minute due to unforeseen party issues. The delegation was accompanied by the Executive Director of PILDAT. The visit was supported by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES).
