February 17; PILDAT has lauded the Government�s initiative of making available Parliamentarians� Tax Directory.

In a press statement issued here today, PILDAT appreciated the vision of the PML-N Government, especially the Honourable Prime Minister and the Honourable Finance Minister for taking a critical step towards transparency and public access.

PILDAT, which has been working since 2002 towards promoting transparency and access in legislative institutions, has supported the initiative terming it as a key step towards enhancing public trust in political institutions and public representatives.

PILDAT also appreciated the efforts of the FBR and asked that the Government must also consider making available a tax directory of ALL taxpayers in the country.
