PILDAT Delegation with General (R) Wiranto

July 18: On the second day of PILDAT-facilitated Study Visit to Indonesia, the Pakistan Delegation calls on Gen. (Retd.) Ryamizard Ryacudu, Indonesian Minister for Defence, Gen. (Retd.) Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs and Dr. Fadhli Zon, Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives (Indonesian Parliament) today.

The eight-member Pakistani delegation led by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairperson, Senate Standing Committee on Defence is in Indonesia to study democratic consolidation in Indonesia.

In conversation with General (Retd.) Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, the delegation was briefed on functions of the Coordinating Ministry especially in coordination and synchronization of the formulation, determination and implementation of policies related to issues of politics, law and security in Indonesia.

In meeting with members of Commission-1 of the House of Representatives (DPR), members of the commission briefed the delegates on the role of oversight of defence, foreign affairs and information.

Defence Minister of Indonesia, Gen. (Retd.) Ryamizard Ryacudu shared Indonesia's policies to combat terrorism.

Dr. Fadhli Zon, Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives (Indonesian Parliament), briefed Pakistan delegates on the key features of the Parliament, election process and constituency politics in Indonesia.
